Tree Felling can be done in two ways. A single section felling or a piece by piece dismantling.
With a single section felling, the tree only has to be cut once, using a multitude of techniques to control the direction in which the tree falls. This procedure can only be performed if there is adequate space for the tree to fall, so the process doesn't get used often in a residential area.
When there is limited space for felling, a tree will be dismantled piece by piece. Three Shires' tree surgeons have good experience with a variety of closed spaced with difficult work areas, with specialised equipment and machinery.

Three Shires' in house trained and experienced tree surgeons carry out all tree works using rope and harness tools for the more simpler jobs.
For the more difficult jobs, Cranes, *HIABS* or *Cherry Pickers* will be used instead of the conventional method of scaling the tree in question due to it being ether unstable or potentially dangerous.
Three Shires' tree surgeons use a wide range of industry standard machines for the removal of trees.
Common machinery used in the removal of trees consist of Excavators, Clippers, Skid Steers - Front-end loaders - Skid steers, Mulchers and stump grinders.
Not all machines will be used for every felling job, but Three Shires' tree surgeons will assess and decide which machines will benefit the task best.
