Stump Removal & Grinding

Both method of stump grinding and removal end with very similar results, however the processes different some what with techniques and equipment. 

Stump Removal uses heavy equipment to essential pull the tree stump out of the ground, where as grinding cuts and breaks up the stump into small size chunks. These two process should be chosen based on the circumstance. 

Tree Stump removal can be a very intense process, it can also be very invasive. The majority of the work is from ripping the stump out the ground and digging up the tree roots using high-powered machines.

The positives to this process is that after the stump and its roots have been removed, there will be no trace of the tree so it won't be able to regroup and disrupt the surrounding area. The downside to this process is that it can take a lot of time with the use of specialised tools, plus strenuous labour.

Stump grinding is less invasive as removal. By using a machine that grinds away the stump into woodchips. The excess woodchips would be used for a multitude of things such as mulch, pathways and biomass. 

Grinding a tree stump is the most effective way to remove a stump from an area. However this method does not remove the tree's root system underground, resulting in landscaping issues in the future if not taken care of properly.
